As Mediabrands Malaysia set out to create a meaningful employee career journey, we looked to develop a clear set of principles and standards to give employees a roadmap for professional growth, even when interests and aspirations vary significantly from person to person. To make the development programme more targeted, we split our efforts across 4 levels to craft the right strategy and help identify elite performers. This targeted development plan led to high internship conversions and retention, with strong succession plans in place due to internal promotions with leaders who were ready to take on the mantle. Despite pandemic woes and return-to-work transition, net promoter score increased almost five-fold.
